Terms of Service & Privacy Policy.

Five Point Connect is operated by Five Point Connect LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. These Terms govern your use of the platform, and the Privacy Policy explains what we collect and the rights you have under the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA).

BLUF

  • We don't sell your data. We are not an advertising or data-broker business and we do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
  • Membership is verified. Five Point Connect is for verified service members and veterans. You're responsible for your account and your content.
  • Colorado law governs. You have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act — to access, correct, delete, and port your data — described in the Privacy Policy below.
  • We're independent. Five Point Connect is a private platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. Government, the Department of War, or the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Part I — Terms of Service

1 · Agreement to These Terms

By creating an account or using Five Point Connect (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Rules of Engagement, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.

2 · Who May Use Five Point Connect

You must be at least 18 years oldand a current or former member of the U.S. Armed Forces (or otherwise eligible under our verification standards) to hold an account. Membership requires verification of service — through a military (.mil) email, a reviewed proof of service, or a hand-curated invitation. Providing false information, misrepresenting your service (“stolen valor”), or impersonating another person is grounds for immediate removal.

3 · Your Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity under your account. One person, one account. Notify us promptly at support@fivepointconnect.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4 · Membership, Billing & Cancellation

Five Point Connect offers a free membership and a paid Five Point Pro membership.

  • Pricing. Five Point Pro is $7 per month or $70 per year, as shown at checkout. Some members may receive Pro at no cost (for example, founding members or complimentary grants); those terms are stated when the benefit is applied.
  • Auto-renewal. Paid memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel anytime in Settings → Membership. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep Pro through the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. We may issue refunds at our discretion.
  • Changes. We may change pricing or features on reasonable notice; changes apply to future billing periods.

Payments are processed by a secure, PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number. Your use of payment features is also subject to the payment processor's terms.

5 · Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you post (your “Content”). You grant Five Point Connect LLCa non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your Content solely to operate and provide the Service. You are solely responsible for your Content and confirm you have the rights to post it. Don't post anything unlawful, infringing, or that violates the Rules of Engagement or OPSEC.

6 · Supply Drop Marketplace

Supply Drop is a venue only. Listings, sales, and exchanges are transactions directly between members. Five Point Connect is not a party to any transaction, does not handle payments for member sales, does not take title to any item, and makes no warranty about any item, buyer, or seller. You transact at your own risk. We are not liable for any dispute, loss, or damage arising from a member-to-member transaction.

7 · Mentorship & Direct Comms

Mentorship connections and Direct Comms are peer-to-peer. Guidance shared by members is personal opinion, not professional, legal, medical, financial, or VA-benefits advice. Use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

8 · Acceptable Use & Enforcement

Your use of the Service is governed by our Rules of Engagement. We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these Terms or the Rules — including for harassment, scams, stolen valor, OPSEC violations, or illegal activity. Serious violations (such as content that sexually exploits a child) are reported to the appropriate authorities as required by law.

9 · Intellectual Property

The Service, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by Five Point Connect LLC and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or scrape the Service or its data.

10 · Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is”and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that verification will catch every bad actor. Five Point Connect is a private platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Government, DoW, or VA.

11 · Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Five Point Connect LLC and its members, managers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12 · Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Five Point Connect LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, your transactions with other members, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

13 · Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at support@fivepointconnect.com and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14 · Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or the Rules, or to protect the community. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

15 · Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make major changes, we'll update the effective date above and notify you by email. Minor updates may be made without separate notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Part II — Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Five Point Connect LLC(the “controller”) collects, how we use and share it, and the rights you have — including the rights guaranteed to Colorado residents under the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA). We built Five Point Connect on a simple promise: you are a member, not a product.

P1 · Information We Collect

  • Identifiers & account data: name, username, email address, and your password. We never store your actual passwordor keep a record of it anywhere — it is saved only as a one-way encrypted “hash” that can't be reversed back into your password, so no one (not even us) can see or recover it.
  • Service & verification data: branch, rank, status, unit/base, MOS, and any proof of service you submit (for example, a .mil email or a document you upload for review).
  • Profile & community content: your service record, awards, photos, SITREPs, comments, messages, mentorship and marketplace listings.
  • Payment data: if you subscribe, our secure third-party payment processor collects your payment details. We receive only limited billing information (such as status and a customer identifier), never your full card number.
  • Usage & device data: log data, approximate location derived from IP (used to help review verification and detect fraud), and basic activity used for internal analytics.

P2 · Sensitive Data

Some verification materials you choose to submit may include sensitive information. We collect only what is reasonably necessary to verify eligibility, we process it with your consent when you submit it, and we retain it only as long as needed for that purpose. You are never required to post sensitive information publicly.

P3 · How We Use Your Information

  • To create your account and verify your service.
  • To operate the community — profiles, feed, formation, messaging, mentorship, and the marketplace.
  • To process payments and manage memberships.
  • To send transactional email (verification codes, invitations, receipts, and notifications you can opt out of).
  • To keep the platform safe — moderation, fraud prevention, and enforcing our Rules.
  • To understand and improve the Service through internal analytics.

P4 · How We Share Information

We share personal data only in these limited ways, and only as needed:

  • Service providers (processors) who run the platform under contract and may use your data only to provide their service to us — such as our hosting, database, authentication, storage, payment-processing, and email-delivery providers.
  • Other members see the information you choose to display on your profile and in the community.
  • Legal & safety: we may disclose data to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights and safety of our members and the public.
  • Business transfer: if the company is ever acquired or merged, data may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

P5 · We Do Not Sell Your Data or Serve Targeted Ads

Five Point Connect LLC does not sell your personal data, does not share it for targeted advertising, and does not use it for profilingthat produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. Because we don't engage in these activities, there is nothing for you to opt out of on those grounds — but if that ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide a clear opt-out first. We also honor recognized universal opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control).

P6 · Your Colorado Privacy Rights

If you are a Colorado resident, the Colorado Privacy Act gives you the right to:

  • Access — confirm whether we process your personal data and get a copy of it.
  • Correct — fix inaccuracies in your personal data.
  • Delete — request deletion of your personal data.
  • Data portability — obtain your data in a portable, usable format.
  • Opt out — of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and profiling (which, as noted above, we do not do).

How to exercise your rights. You can access, correct, export, or delete most of your data yourself from your Account settings, or email us at support@fivepointconnect.com. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days(extendable once by 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice). Exercising your rights is free and won't result in discriminatory treatment.

Right to appeal.If we deny your request, we'll explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing support@fivepointconnect.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject. We will respond to your appeal within 45 days. If we deny the appeal, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General at coag.gov.

P7 · Data Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law, for security and fraud prevention, or to resolve disputes.

P8 · Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data — encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to notify you and regulators of a breach where required by law.

P9 · Children

Five Point Connect is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

P10 · Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Major changes will be reflected in the effective date above and announced by email. Minor updates may be made without separate notice. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
